ABOUT ME
I am a 22 year old male with an immense passion for all aspects of the 3D industry. I would class myself as a 3D generalist until I find my specialized area. When i'm not working on anything I like to stay active and live a healthy lifestyle.
I look forward to progressing further and creating work that will be seen in the entertainment industry. All my time is put into learning as much as I can, as I can't see any other career path for me.
WORK EXPERIENCE
I don't have any work experience in the industry as of yet, being a full-time second year student, but the skills needed are all there. I am often appointed as project manager whenever working on a group project, because of my knowledge and ability.
I have worked in various jobs where communication and working under pressure is crucial, with my current job being at a very popular bar, called 'The Backroom'. Here I work in close proximity to my other colleagues under a lot of pressure, whilst still maintaining composure and great attitude.
EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE
What I’ve Learned
Being a lifelong learner is a trait that is really important to me, and I know that a good education helps to establish this. I have educational experience in Public services. Where I learned discipline, and the meaning of hard work and determination, along side the royal marines. I have also gained qualifications in Business and Information technologies. Allowing me to be business minded and technologically minded.
I am now in the second year of a BSc. (hons) Computer Animation and Visual Effect undergraduate degree. I am consistently achieving around the 70-80% mark on my assignments, putting me on track for a 1st.
BSC, LEEDS BECKETT UNIVERSITY
2016 - currently attending
Computer animation and VFX - This course has allowed me to improve my skills in all areas, from visual effects to motion capture to 3D modelling. I've learnt a lot across the board. I believe this in invaluable, as having an understanding of other areas within the pipeline makes sure that I know what to do, to make the job easier for others working on something after me.
FALMOUTH UNIVERSITY OF FILM AND TELEVISION
2015 - 2016
Animation and VFX - I didn't finish this degree because It wasn't right for what I need to achieve my goals. But I learnt so much within the year I was there. I improved my traditional drawing a lot, taking part in weekly life drawing, and daily sketchbook work. This also improved my digital sculpting ability. I also learnt a lot of the fundamentals of animation.
AIREDALE ACADEMY, HIGH SCHOOL
2007 - 2012
I left my high school with very good grades. I finished with 15 GCSE's all above a C grade.
AIREDALE ACADEMY, 6TH FORM, COLLEGE
2013- 2015
Business and ICT - whilst at college I learnt how to be efficient and manage my time. Something I have carried with me through the rest of my education, and will take into my career. I am very technically minded, learning to build and repair computers, as well as use software through common sense and methodical thinking.
